We seek to educate and enrich women on the fundamentals of finance.
Stanford Women in Investing strives not only to educate its members, but also to create a movement that encourages women to join the financial industry, and, more broadly, leads to the increased financial empowerment of women.
Our organization
Stanford Women in Investing is a Stanford club whose mission is to educate undergraduate women on finance and investments.
The goal of Stanford’s SWI chapter is not only to provide a platform for undergraduate women to learn about investing, but also to build a community of leading women who support one another and can learn and feel comfortable with managing their finances.
Our structure
Through educational seminars, research projects, mentoring initiatives, and exposure to successful professionals and businesses, SWI provides the guidance and resources upon which women can build greater knowledge of the financial industry.
SWI members will participate in an Education Program. This program consists of:
Ten-week Seminar Series taught by investment professionals, with a cumulative curriculum designed to give students a foundation of investing knowledge
General investing case studies and interview preparation
Mentor-mentee pairings between executive members and general members
Stock pitch competition
Our mission
Our primary goal is to educate women about investing and finance fundamentals. The organization seeks to provide women within the Stanford community with the opportunities and resources that will allow them to become involved in finance and investing in a manner that suits their interests and career aspirations.
