Seminar Series
Education is the core mission of Smart Woman Securities. The 10-week Seminar Series begins fall quarter and is designed to provide new members with a broad introduction to investing. Unique to SWS, we invite different finance professionals every week from firms across Silicon Valley to teach the seminar which has been designed by SWS National with the help of industry professionals for undergraduate students with little to no prior background. Our seminars are intended to give undergraduate women a starting foundation upon which they can build knowledge and learn more about investing in a comfortable community setting. To conclude the Seminar Series, students will complete a capstone investment project, where they get the opportunity to work in small teams and research a company of their choice in depth. Each team will use their knowledge from seminars, complete further research in the industry, and prepare a stock pitch to present to industry professionals.
